No Greater Love by Ron DiCianni
This project is not only an inspiring one but also was inspired by a customer. We framed the same print for a customer with her husbands patch and 2 badges. This left us with a idea of having one framed with patches from each Fire Department in our area. We were givin 2 patches from each dept. One went into the pictured framed job and the other was given back to the the corresponding Fire Department framed, along with a framed fire fighters prayer.( 9x12 canvas of the pictured print with a prayer ) We presented these to the Fire Deparments on September 11th 2004 as a thank you for all that they do. The Framed pictured print will be either raffled off or auctioned off at a later date.(we haven't decide which would be best yet)The framed piece will hang in each fire house for 2 months and be signed by the Firefighters. The proceeds will then be divided amoung the 3 Depts. Now on to the framing. 3 suede mats were used in the framing. The top is Marine the accent or second is Garnet and the 3rd which backs the patches is Sapphire. The Print is mounted with conservation corners(no adhesives are touching the print) the patches are stitched to the sapphire mat. The frame is a wood Designer Moulding.
