1899 Diploma
This is a high school diploma from 1899. The diploma was rolled in the original shipping tube which still had the shippers address and stamp. Our client also was able to come up with a picture of her grand mother. The Diploma was float mounted and backed with rag mat, this creates a barrier between the diploma and the color of the undermat. The diploma is mounted with conservation corners and a small amount of reversable rice tape. The top mat is layered off the bottom to create the space needed to keep the diploma from touching the glass. The shippers address & stamp are mounted with rice tape. The photo was originally backed with a black cardboard this was left intact(there was no safe way to remove the photo). The frame is a Larson & Juhl and the glass is uv.
